Introduction
This is the story of the history of Uplowman. A small village that is typical of many small villages in Devon.
It will be seen how the village came about and its growth in population and the changes that occurred during the last 50 years, whilst still leaving it rural in nature.
For our size we have a large number of listed buildings, connections with the Royal family, and famous residents, plus much more of interest.
